Perth: EFTPOS skimming scam caught on camera

 

Just incase you are not aware, Perth has been the Victim of a massive EFTPOS skimming scam for quite some time. Over the weekend there were 4 arrests. These are the first arrests made in Western Australia over the skimming devices. This all eventuated due to an IGA Supermarket who caught the offenders on camera and immediately informed the Police.
 
The only reason they were caught was the very Happy Shop owner late last year had 16 5MP Stardot Vandal Domes installed with Alnet. The owner of the Supermarket has a small rented office across the road from the Supermarket and views his cameras via a wireless link. This office also happens to be located right next door to the Wanneroo Police Station.
